It’s been quite some time since I have seen and/or ridden with many of you. Hopefully you and your equine partner(s) have enjoyed yourselves as much as Ruby and I. The reason for this email is to let you know about a clinic I am assisting a friend to organize this summer and thought some of you might be interested (see the attached flyer and registration form). Some additional details follow. Feel free to pass the word along to anybody you think might be interested. Hope to see some, if not all of you, at the clinic. Take care and happy horsemanship.

In 2010 people gathered from Canada, France, Spain, Australia and all over the United States in Fort Worth Texas to attend a tribute in memory of renowned horseman Ray Hunt. There were only 21 hand selected horsemen invited to take part in this event to honour Ray.
We are privileged to have one of those exceptional horsemen come to Ontario on June 16 & 17, 2012 for a clinic and you are invited to participate. Kip Fladland of La Riata Ranch in Iowa, United States will bring his 30 years of experience, including 5 years studying under and assisting Buck Brannaman at his clinics. He is accustomed to working with a variety of breeds including but not limited to quarter horses, thoroughbreds, warmbloods, gaited horses and mules. His work includes colt starting, re-schooling problem horses, schooling pleasure and performance horses of all disciplines, as well as ranch roping. Kip is credited with starting well over 300 colts.
The clinic will begin with the Ground Work segment each morning (9:00-12:00) and resume for the afternoon (1:00-4:00 pm) with the Horsemanship session. You are welcome to register for either class or both. A $100.00 (non-refundable) deposit is required to hold a spot in each class ($200.00 for both) with the balance due by May 15, 2012.
As a prelude to the clinic there will be a colt starting demo on Friday Jun 15, 2012 (details to be determined). Auditors are welcome to attend for $25.00 a day but no video equipment will be permitted.
