Hi from your new Email person for the Ganaraska Forest Horse Club. I hope that everyone is keen to attend as many of our club events as they can manage this season. Come out and HAVE FUN!!!

We are looking for about 3 volunteers to be part of a Public Relations Committee. Do you have some ideas to help promote our club? Perhaps you know of some locations which would be suitable to hand out our brochures concerning the GFHC. Regular communication between these volunteers and Barry Lamore, who is our Board member serving as head of this Committee, would be important. This sharing of ideas does not have to be in person, however, and could be done by E mail messages. In order to keep our club growing, we need to inform the public that we exist and what we do. I would imagine that there are still a lot of horse people in our local area that do not yet know of the existence of the GFHC. Please give some thought to being one of our volunteers in this role. You can respond to the club’s E mail through the web site. HAPPY TRAILS!!!!

Beth Lamore
Please email Beth at gfhc-1@live.ca

Note received from the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority:
Due to the considerable amount of dry warm weather we have had, the Ganaraska Forest will be opening to all use on Saturday, April 14th , which is just over two weeks earlier than the normal opening date on May 1st. I would encourage patrollers to get out into the forest after that date, as the forest receives some of its heaviest use early in the season. Thanks,
