MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS
Your 2011 membership expired on Dec 31st so please renew now if you have not done so. The application form is available on our web site and we encourage all members to invite friends, neighbours and family members to join us.
NOMINATION COMMITTEE
The three members of the Nomination committee have sent out an email asking for candidates for the Board of Directors. We need two new members – one responsible for managing the email account and one who may be interested in the role of Secretary. Please consider helping with the Club activities, this is a great way to meet new people and gain more riding contacts.
CURRENT BOARD
One of our Directors has resigned. Jacquie Visconti will (Thank God) remain as our Web Master but has chosen not to continue in the role of Director. Her place has been filled by Paul Reid who will be an acting Director until the elections at the AGM in April. Thank you for agreeing to be part of the Board Paul, your expertise will be invaluable.
ANNUAL DANCE
The biggest social event in the County will take place on Saturday, March 17th at the Legion Hall in Millbrook! Our Annual dance will include a sit down roast beef dinner. Tickets are $30 each and there is a limit of 100 tickets so we can all have room to dance. This event includes a Silent auction, Door prizes, a 50/50 draw and a fabulous DJ. Please plan to attend and wear green! Tickets will be sold by all the Directors and from our web site so please contact one of the Board members to get yours. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR BECAUSE THE CATERING GROUP CANNOT ACCOMMODATE “LAST MINUTE” ADDITIONS.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM will be held at the Ganaraska Forest Centre on Sunday, April 15th. (1.00-4.00pm) The three Speakers will include the GRCA, Ontario Equine Federation (Insurance for horse owners and riders) and a Vet. Further details will be available on our web site. Memberships for the GRCA will be available for purchase during the AGM.
