The Ganaraska Forest Horse club is a recreational trail riding club that is devoted to developing a fellowship with other equine enthusiasts and working with other local horseback riding clubs in order to:
• promote safe trail riding practices and care of the horses and
• preserve the privilege of sharing the trails in the Ganaraska Forest with other users.
The Ganaraska Forest Horse Club
The Ganaraska Forest Horse Club (GFHC) is designed for fellowship, family fun and educational seminars. It is a chance for riders to ride with each other and meet new friends on the trail. In joining our club you will receive membership benefits that include a free subscription to “The Rider”, updates on the current events that involve the Ganaraska Forest, a chance to meet and join friends for events with and without your horse.
While enjoying the beautiful trails, we also want to help educate all Ganaraska Forest users in safe trail riding and equine awareness. Our local group of riders is comprised of a growing number of members who participate in non-competitive riding events in and around the Ganaraska Forest. Through these events our group raises funds that are allocated to certain projects throughout the year. These projects are done in co-operation with the GRCA and help continue to improve and maintain the forest and its trails.
Our Calendar of Events ensures there is an event for all levels of riders and a chance to learn more too!
